The 23rd annual Taste of Newport festival is September 16 – 18, 2011! Over 30 restaurants and 15 wineries are offering gourmet selections and premium wines. Headlining the entertainment Friday is Multi-Platinum rock legend Joan Jett, Saturday is the Grammy nominated Barenaked Ladies, and Sunday is both ABBA: The Concert with members of the original ABBA band, and pop/dance star Taylor Dayne.
Besides lots of great food, wine and music, the 3-day festival is also a fundraiser for local charities. The live entertainment is included in the admission price with food and beverage pay-per-taste. Besides the headliners, several other bands play each day. Get there early to claim a spot near the stage!
