Surf City Marathon 2014

The annual Surf City Marathon takes place Sunday, February 2, 2014, just down the street from the Newport Channel Inn.  The course is spectacular, running along the oceanfront past surfers and pounding waves.  Start and finish line are on PCH near the Huntington Beach Pier.  Start time is 6:30 a.m., and the race is an official Boston Marathon qualifier.  There is also a half-marathon and a 1-mile charity run.

For future planning, the O C Marathon takes place on Sunday, May 4, 2014.  The start line is here in Newport Beach at the Fashion Island shopping mall.  This is a popular weekend so book your room at the Newport Channel Inn well ahead!
