Newport Beach Fourth of July Celebration
Sun, Sand,
and Fireworks! The Fourth of July
holiday week is one of the most popular times of the year. We are almost sold out for the holiday. Reservations should be made soon to ensure
availability.
On the
Fourth, there are many special events with something for everyone, including
fireworks displays at several locations in the area. There is a kid’s “bike and dog” parade and kid’s
festival starting at 9:00 a.m. on Balboa Peninsula, a celebrity parade through
downtown Huntington Beach at 10:00 in the morning followed by the Pier Plaza
Festival, a patriotic American Legion “Old Glory” boat parade around Newport
Harbor at 1:00 in the afternoon, and a low flyover of four World War II vintage
AT-6 aircraft all along the beach scheduled for 6:35 p.m.. There is a family friendly holiday program
all day at the Dunes Aquatic Park, including a concert from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00
p.m. headlined by the legendary classic rock band “AMERICA”, with a Fireworks finale
at 9:00 p.m.. The Dunes continues the
celebration with another concert from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6 hosted
by DJ Richard Blade with several bands including the all-girls “Cougrzz Rock”
and the ultimate “JOURNEY” tribute band “Don’t Stop Believin”. The Laguna Beach Art Festival, Pageant of the
Masters and Sawdust Festival are ongoing throughout July.
A few rooms are
still available at the Newport Channel Inn.
