OC Fair New Year’s Eve Block Party

What may be the biggest New Year’s Eve party in California takes place at the nearby OC Fairgrounds. Four decades worth of tribute bands, including The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Heart, Journey, Depeche Mode, Morrissey/The Smiths, Oingo Boingo, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, and U2 will jam on one of four live concert stages.

Live DJs will keep the dance floors hopping with today’s biggest party tracks and you can grab the mic yourself on a huge karaoke stage.  Yellow Cab is sponsoring the official “New Year’s Bash” Demolition Derby (so that’s where all the old taxicabs go!), and fifty of California’s favorite gourmet food trucks are set to feed the crowd.  At midnight, 12 “lucky” contest winners will ring in the New Year while riding the Super Shot Free Fall ride.

The OC Fair New Year’s Eve Block Party will be held on December 31, 2010 at the OC Fair & Events Center in Costa Mesa, California. There are several admission options available including combinations of Block Party, Demolition Derby, seating at certain events, special access to food trucks and even admission to next year’s OC Fair.
