Cars Land is now open!
You will feel
like you just walked into the Disney Pixar “Cars” movie when you walk down the
main street of “Radiator Springs” as you enter the new “Cars Land” area of the
Disney California Adventure Park. Try
and see it after dark when all the neon is ablaze! There are several new rides and lots of shops
and restaurants. “Luigi’s Flying Tires” will
remind long-time Disneyland visitors of Tomorrowland’s long-gone Flying Saucer
ride as you float along on a cushion of air, bumping into all the other tires. By far, the star new ride is “Radiator
Springs Racers” which is set amid amazingly detailed southwestern mountain scenery,
and takes you on a bit of a “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” before pulling into Luigi’s
for a new set of tires or into Ramone’s for a new paint job (It changes every
time you ride! You need to go on it multiple
times to try all the versions.), before a fast, ride-ending race with another
car. This ride is pure Disney magic, zippy
enough for those that want that but not beyond the enjoyment of the entire
family, and is truly a triumph for the Disney Imagineers!
As a Guest staying
at the Newport Channel Inn, you can save from $7 to $27 per ticket off the
Disney ticket window price by buying your tickets at the Newport Channel Inn’s
front desk! Newport Channel Inn has a
supply of 1-day 1-park tickets, 1-day park hopper tickets, and 2-day park
hopper tickets for sale at last year’s prices!
When we run out we can’t get more so put in your ticket order when you
make your room reservation directly with us and we will set them aside for your
arrival.
