Volcom’s 4-day event of street skateboarding competition begins Thursday, October 21 with practice and registration followed by 3 days of competition, with the semi-finals, finals, and best trick event on Sunday, October 24. The DAMN AM contest is fun to watch and the admission is free for spectators, everyone is welcome. Food and drinks are free too! Volcom knows how to put on an event!
The event is held at the nearby Volcom headquarters, and the competitors are among the country’s best amateur skaters on their way to a pro career. One of our front desk staff members, Brad, is our skateboarding expert. Ask for Brad when you check-in at the Newport Channel Inn for all the details.
